Following the announcement that our parent company, Global Energy Group and GEG Capital, has rebranded to simply “Global”, ground has now been broken at Global’s new 2,000 m² headquarters within HIE’s Inverness Campus Freeport zone.
The multi-million-pound, state-of-the-art building has been designed by our award-winning lead architect, David Lawrie, and once complete, our Inverness-based team will also move into the new office. The project is being delivered by fellow Global group company Capstone Construction as principal contractor and is scheduled for completion by autumn 2026.

David Lawrie, Partner, commented: “Global’s new headquarters will be a landmark for arrival into the expanding Inverness Campus. The building is designed as a bold translator of Global’s identity – transitioning from its oil and gas roots to its new role as a leader in green energy and innovation. The building’s fully glazed north façade visually integrates the building to its surroundings creating a sense of connection to the wider campus setting, whilst the feature entrance – inspired by Global’s brand and future direction – welcomes users into a light filled core. The bright central atrium space serves as the working and social hub of the building. It is envisaged as a new turbine of growth where people can meet, collaborate, and drive the business forward.”
Amanda MacRitchie, Senior Partner, continued: “We are delighted to be providing architectural services for the new purpose-built flagship Global head office at the heart of HIE’s Inverness Campus which will become the new home for the Bracewell Inverness office once its complete next year. It will be an emotional move after 25 years at Ness Bank in Inverness but we look forward to being located in the Inverness campus. It’s a fabulous setting with access to all its facilities on the door step for staff to enjoy. Being in the new HQ will enhance our connections with our sister companies and our ability to collaborate with them. We are also proud of the fact it will be one of the first buildings to be constructed within the New Green Freeport.”
This investment in a new headquarters at the heart of the Highland capital’s innovation hub marks a significant step in Global’s continued growth. The facility will provide space for up to 50 new colleagues and promote greater collaboration across the group. For the first time, Global’s Corporate Services Team, along with group companies Global Infrastructure, Global Power Services, Arthian, Global Highland, Chance Recruitment and Be Personnel, as well as ourselves, will all have a presence at the new HQ.
