Cairn Lodge Hotel

Our team led the sensitive renovation and internal reconfiguration of Cairn Lodge Hotel, focusing on enhancing guest accommodation and public areas while respecting the building’s historic character.

On the ground floor, works included reconfiguring the reception, lounge, WC facilities, and circulation areas to improve functionality and flow, alongside integration with the restaurant and bar. Minor layout adjustments were also made to selected bedrooms with ensuites to optimise comfort and usability.

First-floor interventions focused on reorganising bedroom layouts to improve ensuite provision and circulation, ensuring a seamless guest experience. Throughout, the approach prioritised retention of the hotel’s original features, with new interventions designed to complement the historic core while upgrading facilities to modern standards.

The project demonstrates a sensitive balance between conservation and adaptation, revitalising the building for contemporary use while preserving its distinctive character.
