De Quincey House

Glasgow

A sensitive redevelopment of a prominent B-listed corner block at West Regent Street and Renfield Street in Glasgow city centre. Originally designed in 1889 for the Prudential Insurance Company by Alfred Waterhouse, the red sandstone building was reconfigured from offices into contemporary apartments. The conversion of the upper floors introduced a variety of city-living homes, while retaining the distinctive Victorian character and presence of the landmark façade within the streetscape.
