Home Bargains
Home BargainsUK and Ireland, various–T J Morris Ltd (Liverpool)Industrail | Retail | Urban RegenerationOver the past decade, we have delivered a wide range of new stores and refurbishments for Home Bargains across the UK and Ireland, working closely with TJ Morris Ltd. Each project responds to its local setting, whether through the sensitive refurbishment of existing buildings or the creation of bold, contemporary new-build retail units that support town centre regeneration.
Our designs balance functionality and brand identity with contextual awareness. In Ashington, the new store at Portland Park reimagines a former bus station site as part of a wider regeneration initiative, using black horizontal cladding and a stepped canopy inspired by the area’s mining heritage. In Belfast, the redevelopment of a 20,000 sqft unit at The Park Centre involved transforming a large-format retail space into a modern shell unit, ready for full fit-out and occupation, while enhancing the external appearance through new façades and roof improvements.
Sustainability is integral across all projects. We incorporate permeable paving, cycle parking, EV charging, and energy-efficient construction strategies, aligning with the client’s drive for long-term value and low-carbon operation. Site layouts prioritise accessibility and pedestrian movement, while materials and forms are carefully considered to provide a robust, durable, and welcoming customer environment.
Together, these projects demonstrate our ability to deliver retail architecture at scale — creating consistent, high-quality stores that strengthen brand presence while making a positive contribution to local communities and urban regeneration.
