Milton Burn

Bracewell Stirling Consulting was appointed as architect for a residential development of 24 new homes at Milton Burn, on the southern edge of Aviemore.

The design approach sought to create a contemporary Highland neighbourhood, balancing the individuality of detached and linked houses with a sense of cohesion and place. Homes were arranged to respond to the site’s natural topography and outlook, with careful consideration of orientation, privacy, and integration with the surrounding landscape. The architecture combines clean, modern forms with robust materials suited to the climate, ensuring durability as well as visual connection to Aviemore’s setting.

Working with Allan Munro Construction Ltd, we developed the architectural response and coordinated delivery from concept through to completion. Phased construction allowed each home to be delivered to a consistently high standard, with our team maintaining close oversight of detailing, compliance, and quality throughout.

The completed development establishes a distinctive residential environment, reinforcing Aviemore’s role as a growing Highland community while remaining sympathetic to its rural context.
