Tannahill Crescent
Bracewell was appointed by Link Group to lead the masterplanning, architectural design, and planning for a residential development at Tannahill Crescent, on the northern edge of Johnstone. The project delivers 33 new homes, replacing five blocks of former multi-storey flats with a mix of terraced housing and a single accessible bungalow, establishing a modern, inclusive streetscape that responds to the local context.
The scheme was designed to provide high-quality, accessible housing while responding to the site’s sloping terrain. The layout reinforces the urban street edge, avoids stepped access, and maximises accessibility, with a lit communal rear pathway providing secure access for all units. The development combines family housing with adaptable and accessible homes, supporting a diverse and inclusive community.
Bracewell led the planning and warrant process, coordinated technical design for the phased development, and prepared community engagement materials and visual presentations for stakeholders. The design approach emphasised robust materials, thoughtful landscaping, and a coherent public realm, ensuring the development integrates seamlessly with the surrounding streetscape and enhances the local environment.
