Tower Road

Bracewell was appointed by Compass Building & Construction Services to lead the planning and architectural design of a residential development at Tower Road, Smithton, on the eastern edge of Inverness. The project delivers 27 new-build flats across two contemporary blocks, carefully arranged to create a coherent streetscape and integrate with the surrounding residential context.

The development provides high-quality urban housing, designed with a focus on accessibility, sustainability, and efficient delivery through modern methods of construction. The proposal supports sustainable transport and encourages active travel, reinforcing the development’s role within the wider community.

Bracewell acted as lead designer and planning lead, preparing the full application package for Highland Council, including architectural drawings and a detailed Design and Sustainability Statement. The approved proposals established a clear architectural framework and layout strategy, enabling the successful delivery of new homes within the local setting.
